Deep breath, here goes…

The Countdown

The blended learning class begins today, in about an hour and a half.  Spent most of the weekend reading up on delivering blended learning courses and entering links in the “modules” part of the D2L.

Note: there has to be a user’s guide somewhere for D2L, one that indexes everything you need to know about using the program.  I’ve googled.  Found bits and pieces here and there, but nothing all together.  Plus, is there seriously no “help” function inside the program?  How maddening is that?

Because of the late addition of three learners to the program, we are not planning to introduce D2L today; we’ll wait until Thursday morning.  In the meantime, we’ll do a needs assessment, talk about the program, get learners to begin a learning journal on a blog site of their choice (i.e. wordpress).

Between my colleague and I, we have a direction to the program.  The one thing we need to hammer out is what we are definitely covering in class, and what ss will be responsible for online.

Getting ready to flip my classroom!  Here’s hoping it’s a smooth transition!
